Yes, I have been working none stop on my Halloween orders and some fall items.THANKS SO VERY MUCH ALL OF MY ETSY BUYERS.YOU ROCK!!!!!!! I love Etsy.The whole concept of handmade goods ,all the time by very very talented people.How cool is that!!

I am working really hard to add many new things weekly on Etsy. My store is growing ,It is so wonderful to see many new buyers loving my designs and appreciating all the hard work goes in to each and every piece. Yeap.. I have been working none stop. Love it! Call me crazy =) Then I realized I made many new and fun things. To Be honest with you,I missed making my own loved patterned designs.. Seems like everybody wants to make and buy the same cuts nowadays. Nothing is the same as it was when I first started selling on Ebay. It is before anything else was around. (yes I have been around for a while 7 years!!!!). There was no Etsy No craft cult nothing. Just Ebay. Looked different too. Sellers were different .Most of those sellers are not on Ebay any more.Most of them left ,some only selling on Etsy. Looks like it has been taken over by just a few people on Ebay and the rest of us just watching and scratching our heads!

Well ,I am jumping one subject to other I guess. What was I saying? Oh Yes, I have been working long hours.I just looked in to my samples I have so many There is no way I can offer those custom back to back. I need to work on my on boutique business line .I have meetings to go and people to see ,factories to visit. So Here it is I am putting them all on Ebay with bottom line prices.99% of them brand new and never been seen before.I won't list them on ebay again at least this year. I might put them piece by piece on Etsy as customs slowly. Since Etsy items stays there longer time priod I can manage to offer them. Not On Ebay .
Thay are all colorful ,most of them have appliques on too. So much work. I look at them and Feel happy. They worth so much more then what I am asking for. So be kind to me and bid on them They need beautiful kids to love them =)

Today I decided on not talking business and also what is on my mind too. Something different. I will be keep writing =)

Since We are already working on the fall sets ! I wanted to come up wit something really fun and can be layered for cooler days and school too. Here in NY we still have time till the kids are back to school but I know few of my customers will be back to school really soon in August.
So here it is .Emma the princess set. I made 3 mix and match pieces. Beautiful a pair of applique jean pants ,a large Euro inpired kingdom print top and an applique t-shirt.

Well I have to tell you all,I LOVE Dr Seuss books. We have almost every book he wrote perhaps !
When We had our little baby girl From day one We made sure she was going to learn the love for books. So Our first Seuss book was ,One Fish Two Fish book for BATHTUB! Yes,It was a bathtub book. And after 9 years I still have it. Maybe because It was our first book ,It is still my all time favorite Seuss book.
So When I was ready for a Seuss book inspired design what else I could have chosen ,One Fish Two Fish!!!!!!

I love this set and I am so very proud of it too. I put a lot of work in it and it is unique and different than many Seuss sets out in boutique world .Seems like only Cat in hat and Grinch is available.

WHAT IS UP AND WHAT IS COMING UP !!!

Ok I really cracked my self up with this tittle. =)
I have been looking around in my sewing studio and thinking " I can probably open a fabric store with the amount of fabric I have". I have ALOT! I have my favorites and seems like I am holding on to them like crazy person. So I have been going through all of them and picking truly MY FAVORITE prints and working with them.So Next couple of weeks I will be listing this "treasures" one by one under my "precious" collection. Why Because all this prints are really precious to me. Unfortunately I have small amount of them and most of them Out of Print. I think That is one of the reasons That, I can't use them. I am afraid ,When They are all used up I won't be able to find this prints. But it is time to let it go "I guess".

So here is the first of many.Little Bear Cubs prints are VERY VERY hard to find. I have little bit of this pink version is left .So This is what I came up with. The cutes Applique Dress!!! Isn't It "precious"? Also Pay attention to bodice.That floral print is also OOP. And I loveeeeeeeeeeee it! Colors are just wonderful for any season. Applique came out just perfect too.

Each and every piece of it drawn by hand cut by hand and sewn by hand.. Takes lots of time and attention.

I LOVE OUR WISTERIALANE MINI LAUNCHES. THEY ARE SO MUCH FUN AND GIVES ME THE CHANCE TO WORK ON ALL KINDS NEW THINGS THAT I LOVE BUT HAVEN'T HAD THE CHANCE TO DO IT FOR A WHILE.
So here it goes .This is one of my most favorite dress cuts! I truly truly love it. It takes yards and yards of fabric and takes me longs hours to make it. I love how the bodice is shaped with princess seams and flounce skirt with overskirt. Just so girly ,so flirty. I love these revealed rose trim around the neckline too. Just adds into this wonderful,pretty print. Set comes with 2 hand crotchet (by me.Yes I can crotchet,sew ,needle point and many other things too!)pins ,and the hat.Total of 4 pcs.

When I found this wonderful vintage fabric I got so excited.What a find! So colorful and so unique. It is hard to find anything like this nowadays. So you can understand how happy I was. It has been with me for a while now. But finally I was ready to make something great with it.
So here it is.My Gnome dress. It is unique not only because of this wonderful fabric ,but also design of it. Looks like 2 dresses in one. Side slits ,delicate cotton ruffle lace.... I am so excited on my new dresses !!!! I really am. They are just so colorful with so many little details. When I got this from My model mom (Thanks Beth) I was so happy. Isn't wonderful. I missed Spring. In NY one day is nice and warm and the next day is freezing. I hate cold. At least I can work on my Spring and Easter dresses to make my life more colorful and fun.

Here they are few of my new dresses. Saint Patrick's day Dress is just so pretty I couldn't be happier. Colors are classic and unique too. I love the red with white dots against the green. These prints are just too cute to miss. Glitter shamrock and ladybug print with cutes mushroom and leprechauns.

What's Going On?

Oh boy=) I got so busy again.. with many things. Schools are on winder break in NY. I am so happy to have my little one around. I miss her when she is gone.
Working on few things.Many dresses and great deal of new ideas. Few for Easter also can be worn after and before Easter and few for spring and even for now with a shirt under it. And I love the one for Saint Patrick's day. Which will be listed tomorrow On Monday.
I will post the pictures soon here.

What is coming up. I have been thinking about a Sponge Bob set for a looong time. My daughter requested from me. I finally decided to work on it. It will have few appliques on too. I am working on the characters right now.Not sure if i go with the dress and pants or shirt and pants. Too many details!

Is it Easter already?

ok ,You know how we work... We do start listing couple of months before any special holiday. But planing starts way before that. I have been playing with my fabrics again Thinking about Spring and Easter. I already made few things for the celebration of Spring. "Since we had an other snow storm recently in NY". Oh They are so colorful and deligthful. I am so excited!

I love the combination of oranges and pinks, also unxcpected print combinations.Like in my little chicken vida dress. Flowers and little chickens. Just love it!

So what is coming next. Oh I have so many wonderful things planned. Import fabrics with ruffles, purples and pinks ,cute animals. So many many colorful ideas!

1. What is the CPSIA and what are the consequences for the
independent maker and vintage seller?
After a spate of imported children’s products were found to contain lead, the
United States Congress quickly drafted and passed the CPSIA, or the Consumer
Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) in August 2008. This law is slated to go
into implementation on February 10, 2009.
Among other things, the CPSIA bans lead and phthalates in children's products,
mandates third party testing and certification, and requires manufacturers of all
goods for children under the age of 12 to permanently label each item with a date
and batch number.
Under the very important auspices of child safety, the CPSIA may have grave
unintended consequences: fewer choices for families who are looking for
handcrafted alternatives. Many Etsy artists and craftspeople have expressed
fears that they won't be able stay in business due to the burdensome cost of
testing and certification pursuant to the proposed legislation.
So what does this mean? Walter Olson of Forbes and overlawyered.com puts it
succinctly:
“As of Feb. 10, it will become unlawful to make or sell anything intended
for use by children under 12 without a program to test the goods for lead
— even if no items of their kind have ever been found to pose a lead risk,
even if you make and sell only a few inexpensive items a year, even if
you've sourced their materials from the most conscientious local suppliers
and even if they're items toddlers seldom convey into their mouths, such
as dartboards or bicycle tires.
In August, relatively lenient self-checks will give way to a much costlier
mandate for ‘third-party’ lab testing. That will mean testing every lot of
goods — typically each style/size combination — at a cost of perhaps
hundreds of dollars per lot for simple items, and potentially much more
than that for items with multiple colors, components or materials.
Because there is at present no green light for once-for-all component
testing, the same bit of elastic or fabric trim will have to be tested again
and again as part of each lot.”

Everybody is loving my large panel Vida dresses. well tell you the truth I LOVE them too. I think they are so unique ,colorful and fun.....
I will be keep making them. I have few in my mind and I know they will be so much fun to make it.

Since december of last year I have been working on the new things like crazy .Most of it for Ebay of course.I feel like I have to put more time on my Etsy listings. Honestly I feel guilty for not doing it.Also feel like I have no time to do it.Just imagine ,working on the new designs for Ebay ,new pieces for Etsy and all the custom orders.This is just the "work" point of everything.Still have to take care of the house =).I have to list some of my favorites on Etsy too.
